Drone Start is an advanced flight check and planning tool specifically designed for drones. With its extensive range of features and functionalities, Drone Start ensures that every drone flight is conducted safely and efficiently. Simply connect your device to the drone controller, open the app, and tap Start to initiate the comprehensive set of advanced checks performed by Drone Start.

Drone Start goes above and beyond to ensure a safe flying experience. It assesses the safety of your current location, checks the battery status and sensors of your drone in real-time, and confirms that your drone is in optimal condition for takeoff.

In addition to its capabilities during flights, Drone Start proves to be indispensable during pre-flight planning as well. With just a few keystrokes, you can create detailed flight plans by entering your desired destinations. Drone Start automatically retrieves valuable information such as weather conditions, GPS data, light levels, terrain elevation, and No Fly Zones to ensure a well-informed flight plan. It also provides insights into your flight route, including elevation changes and estimated remaining battery life. The app allows you to view an area map highlighting essential information such as No Fly Zones, terrain elevations, sunrise/sunset times and positions. Additionally, Drone Start presents an animated Wind Map with color-coded arrows displaying wind direction for quick assessment of flying conditions.

Unique to Drone Start is its ability to provide calculations tailored to your specific drone model. Wind speeds and battery range are calculated based on your actual drone, ensuring accurate predictions.

Drone Start boasts advanced features that further enhance the user experience:

• Daily FlyCast: A daily notification sent at sunrise outlining the day's flying conditions. The FlyCast Widget provides a quick way to check if it’s suitable for flying without even opening the app.
• Solar Storm Warnings: Notifications alerting you of incoming solar storms that may interfere with GPS signals, potentially compromising the accuracy of your RTH (Return To Home) point.
• Intelligent RTH: When enabled, Drone Start automatically calculates and sets the Return To Home Height based on surrounding terrain elevation and building heights. This ensures that your drone avoids obstacles during the return flight.
• Fly Zone Alert: You receive notifications when entering or leaving a No Fly Zone, keeping you informed about restricted airspace.
• Battery Manager: Drone Start records battery data before each flight, allowing you to easily monitor battery health and deviations. It provides recommendations for battery rotation order and offers battery tests to assess health and efficiency.
• Intelligent VPS: If large bodies of water are present in the area, Drone Start automatically disables Vertical Positioning System (VPS) functionality and reactivates it when flying in areas with minimal water coverage.
